Winter Is Coming...

With the whisp of cool air settling in, it's a chilling reminder that we are slowly knocking on the door of winter.  No need to be upset, the fishing is still pretty consistent on the Farmington.  The winter caddis hatches are in full swing as are the afternoon olive hatches, and if you stick around till dark you might even hit a blanket midge hatch on the head.  The rising fish are podding up and on some days it isn't out of the question to have a pod of 20 + fish feeding with reckless abandon.  If tiny dry flies isn't your cup of tea, nymph fishing has been consistent, and the streamer bite has had some great days too if you vary your tactics.  The fishing should continue to be good for the next 5-6 weeks.  Here are a few pictures from the fall thus far, and remember dates are still available for December...
